Ampere: An Electricity Sim

Sparks and Short Circuits: How VR trainings improve safety culture

The Future of Electrical Engineering Training?

Rhinox is proud to present Ampere, our (virtual reality) electricity simulation tool to hopefully replace current cumbersome simulations and outdated training methods. Our innovative system brings the power of electricity to virtual reality, providing an immersive and interactive experience closely mirroring the real world.

With Ampere, it is possible to

  • Enhance Safety:
By providing trainings in a controlled, risk-free environment, avoiding the hazards that come with working with live electricity.

  • Improve Efficiency:
As circuit layouts can be designed and tested with ease and speed. Ampere allows for experimentation, iteration and refined designs, while testing in close-to-real environments.

  • Gain Real-World Experience
As people can immerse themselves in realistic electrical engineering situations, and gain valuable hands-on experience without the need for physical equipment.

Evolving to Suit Industry Needs

Ampere is currently under development, but we've already explored several promising applications for it. These include simulating electricity for conveyor belts, practicing the basics with small components on breadboards, and learning about and experimenting with home wiring in a safe, virtual environment.

We're also working on features like electrical schematics to check against your work - with a possible self-updating feature in the future - and training scenarios with built-in faults to discover and solve.

While Ampere is still evolving, we're dedicated to adding more features and capabilities to make it a comprehensive tool for electrical engineering education and training.

Do you have a specific project in mind that requires features we haven't mentioned or implemented yet?
Don't hesitate to reach out - your feedback is invaluable as we continue to improve Ampere and its potential!
